iPhone photos

The iPhone doesn't take the best photos with the default camera app.
Basically anything moving faster than a slug is going to turn out
blurry. Fortunately I found an app that does much better. Still
doesn't take awesome shots but st least you can tell what they are!

Caveman

The school commissioned a life sized statue of a caveman (our mascot)
to put in the front hallway. The artist had it cast in China to keep
the costs down. So after 3 years in the works it arrived in a huge
sheetmetal crate. They needed some way to attach it to its base so one
of my students and I worked after school welding a plate and bars to
the bottom of his feet so that it can be cemented into the base. I
can't wait to see it mounted.

Softball & Welding

Students in the Ag Mechanics class made this for the girls softball
team so they can use it to trace the batter's boxes next to home
plate. The rectangle needed to be an exact size, so after a couple of
miscalculations they got it right.

Corsages

Today was the first day of corsage making in Floral Design. We've been
planting a lot of seeds and working in the greenhouse so it took the
students a little while to remember how to make the bows.

He Returns!

Well I took the FFA students on a judging trip last week for a couple
of days. While we returned one of the big male leopard geckos that we
keep in animal science was missing. The cage was closed so I thought
that a student had taken it. Today it showed up in the middle of class
a little dirty but otherwise unhurt. He was a little hungry and was
following students around jumping and snapping. I guess my faith in
the students is restored.

More destruction

.

I've already found a problem with blogging from the iphone, I can only
send 1 picture per post because there is no way to attach additional
pics to an email. Kind of stinks.

Rosebush Destruction

I love it when the students ask to go outside and I say "sure!" Of
course it is always to prune or pull weeds so they soon regret it and
want to go back inside. We pruned the rose bushes in front of the
building. It is always an adventure with students trying to figure out
what to cut and what to leave. Some bushes unfortunately are
casualties of war.

Heather starts a blog!

Heather has been bugging me for a bit about starting a blog for the
family so we whipped one up tonight. It is located at blog.royalclydes.com
I also started this blog to document junk from the iPhone. I wonder if I will keep it up?
